Natalie turned eight weeks old on Tuesday. Eight weeks. All I can think to myself is, fo’ real?!!? I seriously have no idea where the past eight weeks have gone. They have been filled with so many firsts, lots of laughter, some long nights, definitely more than a few tears, but mostly joy. Unspeakable joy. She is for sure the best thing that has ever happened to us! And taking two months off to be with her turned out to be necessary for me.
Still… I’ve missed this. Missed losing myself in music and editing my latest session. Missed connecting with couples and documenting love with my camera. And honestly, I’ve missed you all. Missed blogging and sharing my heart with you guys. So I’m excited to say I’M OFFICIALLY BACK!!! Partyyyy. I’ll be the first to admit this has taken me longer than I anticipated. In all honesty, I meant to be back to work a couple weeks ago. Disclaimer: it turns out I’m not quite as skilled at balancing work and being a mom as I thought I’d be. Ha. Which means, I might not be back to blogging three or four times a week just yet. But I promise I’m going to try my hardest to get back into the groove as quickly as possible!! So thank you for being patient with me, and thanks for sticking around while I figure this out. You guys are the best :)
But before I bring it back to our regularly scheduled posting (starting with an awesome engagement session tomorrow, be sure to check back for that!), I have to show off share a few of my favorite pictures of Natalie during these first eight weeks of her life. Obviously I’m totally biased, but I happen to think she’s pretty darn adorable ;)

She is beautiful! Such a wonderful little family. Can’t wait to see how much she grows, and she will have a well documented childhood that she will get to enjoy looking back on one day when she is old enough. So happy for you and Jake

She is absolutely adorable!!! And I must say, 27 hours of labor?!? Yikes.. God blessed me with two short labors since He knows my pain tolerance! Loving the pictures of your precious girl … keep them coming!

These are beautiful, Carissa! I think she is a total gem and what a smile!! Definitely makes me want a little bundle too! But I should probably wait until I am married… ;)
