This lovely lady got married over the weekend, which means I can finally share her bridals!! You might remember Erin’s gorgeous face from her engagement session last fall :) She has such a soft beauty about her and she’s one of the sweetest people ever, she is a gem and so easy to photograph! Walk Through a Wedding: Day 2

I’ve been a little hesitant to post these pictures, because in one way I feel like it means the whole experience is over. I won’t have much more to say and blog about in regards to the incredible workshop… But at the same time, it will never be over. Because the things that I took away from those amazing two days will stay with me and my business forever. I’ll be forever grateful to Justin & Mary Marantz for that! So here the are, my favorite images from Day 2 of the Walk Through a Wedding workshop!!

I can’t end without giving another enormous thank you to all the talent involved in creating the shoots for these two days!! Everything turned out as incredibly as it did because of their work.

And to our amazing real life couple, Erin and Peter, thank you for giving us your time and sharing your sweet love with us!!

Lastly, one more shout out to Justin & Mary. I’m not totally sure what to say because words can’t even encapsulate the magnitude of my gratefulness… But thank you, yet again, for everything! XO.

Music Monday

Oh Mondays. Sometimes I wake up ready to crush it on a Monday morning, ready to tackle my to-do list and feeling inspired make the most of a new week. Other times… well, other times, I wake up on the wrong side of the bed. I wake up wanting to do nothing more than pull the covers back over my head and try again in a few hours. Days like that require lots of coffee and music to get after that to do list. Anyone else with me?

Regardless of how you woke up this morning, here’s a happy song to get your Monday started off on the right foot! I recently made a new playlist for getting work done and this Echosmith song is at the top.

You might not be able to see it, but I’m toasting you with my coffee mug behind my computer screen. Because Mondays. Let’s get after it. Cheers!

Red Butte Garden Wedding: Lindsey + Tad

Today I’m so excited to share Lindsey and Tad’s winter wedding!! You’ll probably recognize them from their engagement session and wedding portraits at the Salt Flats. (If not, you really should go look, so much lovely…) So yes, it’s no secret that I adore these two! I can’t say enough good things about them. And their wedding was just as wonderful as the they are :) They planned a day that was completely them. Relaxed, joyful, and filled with personal touches! From Lindsey’s handmade hair pins and wearing her mother’s wedding dress, to the vases and picture frame centerpieces Tad worked so hard on, to the tear-filled ceremony, all the way to the massive dance party afterwards, this day was nothing short of magical. It even snowed for them! Perfection. Lindsey and Tad, thank you again for including me in your beautiful love story!! It was a privilege to witness the beginning of your marriage. I wish you two nothing but more happiness and joy as you continue on the journey of life together!!! XO

Friday Fun Facts

That’s right. After two years since the last one, Friday Fun Facts are BACK!! I know you’ve all been missing these posts so much. Ha. Or if you’re new to the blog and have no idea what I’m talking about, Friday Fun Facts are basically just my random thoughts that I pose as facts and list them together in one place for your amusement. Pretty great, right? No?? Well, my mom thinks I’m funny. Anyways, here they are… some July Friday Fun Facts for you!!

1. Goofy’s hot dog dance on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show is physically impossible to emulate. (Yes, I’ve tried.)

2. Getting a massage at night is the best time to get one, because it means you can go directly home and fall into a pile of mush in your bed. Sweet dreams!

3. I tried not to be biased about this one, because it’s no secret that I love my Starbucks coffee. But Starbucks K-cups for the Keurig are waaaay better than any other brand!! Tried and true.

4. Corn starch + water + food coloring + sponges = driveway paint + excellent toddler entertainment. (Thanks Pinterest!)

5. Raisin Nut Bran is unquestionably greater than plain Raisin Bran.

6. Alaskan Bush People is one of the best shows currently on TV.

7. Apples, peaches, and raspberries are all part of the rose family. Those are some good family genes.

8. They say everything is bigger in Texas. Turns out, everything grows in Texas, too!

Humor me all you folks from humid places… I grew up in Utah. Also known as a desert. Where not much grows. So when we moved here and I got to pick out some plants for our front yard, you better believe I was psyched about all the gorgeous flowers I could pick from!! I mean, tell me these wouldn’t make you happy every time you pulled up to your house :)
