Mountain Life Church Wedding: Amy + Kelly

Continuing to catch up on blogging my weddings from last year, today I’m sharing a super sweet and joy filled day… The day Amy and Kelly tied the knot!! You might recognize them from their engagement session, which was all things lovey and gorgeous and breathtaking. (If you haven’t seen it, go ahead and look, I’ll wait.) I knew their wedding would be absolutely delightful as well, and it didn’t disappoint! I mean, how gorgeous did Amy look in her goddess-like wedding dress?? And Kelly was looking quite debonair in his suit as well! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their happy day. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your wedding Amy and Kelly!! Park City Newborn Session: The Dombro Family

I’m on my way to New Jersey for a wedding tomorrow, but I had to leave you with a little bit of sweetness for your weekend!! And really, it doesn’t get much sweeter than adorable baby Max. I had the immense pleasure of photographing Sam and Mark’s wedding two years ago, and this past Christmas I had the opportunity to meet up with them again and capture their newest family member! (Although weddings may be my first love, photographing my wonderful couples’ growing families is an extremely close second!!) Max is almost 5 months old now, but I couldn’t pass up sharing a few from this precious newborn session :) Thank you again, Sam and Mark, for welcoming me into your home and into this special time of your lives!! It was so wonderful catching up and meeting your handsome little boy. Can’t wait to see how he grows this year!! XO

Muskegon Country Club Wedding: Leanne + Nathan

I first met Nathan quite a while ago, when he moved to Park City and lived with my brother for a bit. He kind of became an adopted family member, joining us for family dinners and outings and even holidays if he wasn’t able to fly home. He eventually had to leave us and go back to Michigan, which was a sad day…. Until we heard about this girl Leanne. The more they hung out, the more Nathan fell for her, and soon he was on his knee proposing!! We are all SO happy for them. And when they came to me about photographing their wedding, of course I was thrilled! They got married on a beautiful, warm summer day last June and it was an honor to take part in their celebration. Congrats again you two!! Hope the past 10 months of marriage have been awesome, but that the ones yet to come are even better :) XO

Keep Chasing

It’s interesting how the weather can affect mood and emotions. Like waking up to warm sunlight gleaming through the window shades, inviting you to get out of bed and start your day ready to conquer the world. Or like when I woke up this morning, thinking through the list of things to get done today and feeling confident, until I looked out the window and saw the rain drizzling down from the grumpy looking clouds in the pewter gray sky. And all I wanted to do in that moment was crawl back in bed and pull the covers up snugly underneath my chin.

Fortunately, I stayed strong and didn’t hunker back down into the beckoning pillows, which, if you know me is a big feat in and of itself. (Sleep, you guys, ranks higher on my list than wine and dark chocolate. In other words, really high.) I might not get everything on that list done today, but hey, half the battle is getting up and getting after it! So if you’re like me and need a little extra motivation at times, know you’re not alone. We’re all in this together. And we’re doing alright.

Here’s to this weekend, let’s go kick some butt <3

Park City Family Session: The Cannons

This beautiful family was my very last session in Park City before I moved to Texas, and it was truly wonderful! Everything about this shoot was perfect. The warm light on a crisp fall evening, the sweetest couple and their adorable kids… I went to high school and played volleyball with Sarah, and it was lovely to catch up and see her so happy in life! Thank you, Cannons, for giving me the perfect shoot to end on!!
