I’m blogging this engagement session a little late. Or a lot late. In fact, Lindsey and Tad have been married for about 4 months now! However, I couldn’t not blog this session, even super late. Because this is one of my favorite e-sessions ever, with one of my favorite couples ever!! From our first time meeting and chatting about their wedding over coffee, I knew this couple was something special. They planned a gorgeous and personal wedding celebration last December, AND we had an epic photo session out at the Utah Salt Flats in their wedding attire!!! But even better than the fact that they are a photographer’s dream (gorgeous couple with beautiful chemistry? come on!), is that I now call these awesome folks my friends. THAT is the best part. So sit back, relax, and get to know Lindsey and Tad!! They’ll be on my blog a couple more times :)
Hey guys!!! It’s Monday!!!!! YES!!!!
Ok, before you decide to stab me with a fork for being so chipper on a Monday morning, allow me to explain… It’s vacation week for the Uribes! Yep, Jake has the ENTIRE week off, and our wonderful friends Amy and Nick and their daughter Liv have come to visit us! Natalie and Liv are arranged best friends. Like, you know how parents used to arrange marriages between their kids? Same thing. Except they’re besties. At least, I figure if I keep telling Natalie that Liv is her best friend it will come true. Haha.
Also, since it’s only been, I don’t know, ALMOST A YEAR since my last Music Monday post (yikesss guys), I figured it was time to bring it back! I’ve been loving the Ben Harper station on Pandora lately while I work. It’s all good, but personally my favorites are some of his older stuff! Such as this mellow number:
Doesn’t that just sound like a lazy summer jam?? Or maybe that makes me sound old… (yikesss again guys). Anyways. I’ll leave you with this pic of the cutest besties in the world! Am I right?! They just kill me.
Happy Monday!!
Shannon and Paul got married on a beautiful, sunny day in Michigan last summer, and I had SUCH a wonderful time documenting their day!! From their sweet First Look, to the gorrrrgeous decor, to the heartfelt ceremony and the dance party that followed, this day was nothing short of amazing. I mean, their first dance was to Adam Sandler’s “I Want to Grow Old with You.” Guys, it doesn’t get much better than that!! Enjoy a snippet of this lovely wedding :)

Michelle and I first met after my family moved to Utah twenty-some years ago. When we were introduced I was walking around singing Aladdin like it was my job. (I was five, give me a break.) Fortunately, she got passed my Disney show-tunes facade and we’ve pretty much been best friends ever since! She stood next to me when Jake and I got married, and now I’m SO excited to be able to support her and document this most joyful day in her life!!! Ben is incredibly kind and caring, and he makes Michelle happier than I’ve ever seen her! Which is all I can ask for my best friend :) I couldn’t be more excited for them to tie the knot in Colorado next month!! Until then, I’ll share a couple of my favorites from their engagement session. We were able to squeeze in a quick one while we were all in Park City over Christmas! It even snowed a little for us :) Love you Michelle and Ben! Can’t WAIT for the big day!! XO
Thank you Carissa for your incredibly kind words and for helping us remember that day and the day to come for the rest of our lives! It’s going to be so great marrying Michelle, I can’t wait!
I can’t wait either Ben!! :)
I had a different post planned for today, but my sweet girl got really sick, and it kind of threw this week for a loop… Soooo here’s what I have instead: a somewhat lame but also truthful poem about being the mom of a sick kid.
Your little child clings coughing and warm with fever begging with her eyes. It kills you inside when there’s nothing you can do but cling back tightly. You listen to her wheezing and soft whimpering, wishing it was you. But all you can do is comfort and ride it out. Basically, croup sucks.
They are a very beautiful couple. So full of love for each other. Love, Mom
