Recently I had the distinct honor of second shooting for Dustin Izatt. I interned with him last fall and I’ve assisted him before, but this was the first time I’d shot a wedding with him. And it was so much fun! I feel like I always learn something when I am second shooter. Not only tips from the main shooter, but also by pushing myself to think outside the box. Instead of just shooting over the first shooter’s shoulder, trying to find new angles, and finding creative ways to frame shots differently. I always come away with a refreshed mind and vision. So thank you, Dustin, for allowing me to learn from you and shoot with you! And thank you, Amber and Trent, for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day! It was truly a beautiful celebration of your love.
(For any unfamiliar with LDS weddings, the photographers are not allowed into the temple for the ceremony. The first shots we get are the newly married bride and groom coming out of the temple to their friends and family!)
After greeting everyone and getting some family pictures, we took a few bridal portraits of Amber.
And really, how beautiful is she?!
This might be my favorite shot from the entire day. Amber looks simply divine.
After Amber’s bridals, we headed into the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for a fabulous luncheon.
And the dessert?? Just LOOK at it!!
Sooo gooooood. Lol.
After the delicious food and heartwarming speeches, the couple braved the cold so we could get some pictures before the light faded.
Thank you, Trent, for serving our country and protecting our freedom!!!
Rawr.
I think this one sums up their relationship nicely.
Congratulations again you two!!! I wish you nothing but love and happiness : )
Beautiful pictures, all of them. But that one of the bride in front of the curtains … WOW. LOVE it!
Beautiful work Carissa! Love the processing, so crisp and clean!
Thanks so much you guys : )
Oh my goodness golly. SO pretty.
